Her productions are innovative dance based projects and collaborations for stage and film. Known as a sort of “sci-fi” choreographer, she creates with a fusion of techniques and music from punk rock and classical to hip-hop, creating concepts that combine elements of film, visual art, fashion, and even magic. Her work has been featured in projects such as “The Ladies Of Hip Hop Festival, DC Fringe Festival, Harlem Stage, for recording artists Sofi Green, Mental™, and Wunmi, for “The Shipment” a play by Young Jean Lee, Sol Afrik: African Fashion Week in NYC, and “Michael and Michael have issues“ on Comedy Central.
As a singer and songwriter, her music is a reflection of her movement as she creates musical expression that is a fusion of styles and moods and which is also accompanied by visual interpretation. She has also been a vocalist featured in music with recording artist Caktuz, General Steele of Smif-N-Wessun, and in stage shows with afro beat sensation Wunmi.
As a performer, she has been a featured dancer in numerous stage, film and TV projects including the Michael and Kelly, Rachel Ray, David Letterman, Ellen, and Jimmy Kimmel shows . She has performed at Coachella, The Apollo, and the Juno Awards and has been a member of the cast for the development of “Holler if You Hear Me” a Broadway show based on the work of Tupac Amaru Shakur and “Journey to the West” a Broadway show based on the life of Bruce Lee. You can also see her in music videos for recording artists Jay-Z, Laura Pausini, and Kiesza with whom she was a lead dancer for her stage shows throughout the US and abroad. As an artist who is serious about the pedagogy of dance and developing dance artists and the technique of dance, you can also find her giving master classes at institutions such as the Joffrey Ballet School in addition to giving her voice as a dance critic, dance grant panelist, competition judge and as a featured artist in Dance Mogul magazine.
